The Garda Commissioner’s Medal for the student achieving the highest aggregate marks was presented to Garda James Clarke, a native of Belfast who will be stationed in Co Monaghan.

Garda Raymond Moloney, from Martinstown in Kilmallock, Co Limerick was awarded the Gary Sheehan Memorial Medal, commemorating a recruit garda who was killed on duty in Ballinamore Co Leitrim in December 1983.

The prize is awarded annually to the best all-round student at the college.

Garda Moloney will be stationed in Terenure, Dublin.

The Templemore Town Council Medal for outstanding achievement and appreciation of the area of social studies was awarded to Garda Kieran Murphy a native of Cork City, who will be stationed at Bandon Garda station.
