Belfast men on blackmail charge

Two men from north Belfast appeared in court yesterday on a blackmail charge. Matthew Kincaid (36), from Forthriver Drive, and George King (38) from Highcairn Drive, were charged with demanding £12,000 with menaces from a man they believed to be a building contractor. A detective told the Magistrates Court both accused replied "No" to the charge. They were remanded in custody until May 8th.
