Gardaí are investigating a bank robbery that took place in Roscrea, Co Tipperary this morning.

Gardaí are investigating a bank robbery that took place in Roscrea, Co Tipperary this morning.

Two raiders, one armed with a spanner, entered an AIB branch in the town at around 10.15 a.m.

The raiders threatened staff and got away with an undisclosed sum of money.

They then drove away in a red saloon car. Gardaí believe a third man may have operated as a getaway driver.
