Bail for man on rape charge

A 27-year-old man has been charged with the rape of a young woman in Limerick last month.

A 27-year-old man has been charged with the rape of a young woman in Limerick last month.

The man, with an address on the north side of Limerick city, is facing five separate counts of rape arising out of the alleged incident.

He is charged with three counts of aggravated rape and two counts of rape at Westfields, Condell Road, Limerick on August 14th last.

Judge Tom O’Donnell at Limerick District Court granted bail on the accused’s own bond of €500 and an independent surety of €5,000.

The man is to appear again on September 16th next.
