THE attempted abduction of a 12 year old schoolgirl in Portadown on Tuesday morning is being investigated by the RUC.
According to the police the girl had left her mother Killycomain Road a few minutes before a man believed to have been driving a dark Vauxhall Corsa car told her that her asked him to pick her up and he knew her father.
The girl ran off to the locale school, where she reported the incident.
The RUC say they believe an schoolgirl was in the area and may have seen the attempt to entice the 12 year old into the car.
