At least three people were killed and 30 injured today in a train crash in Austria's Alpine province of Salzburg, rescuers said.
Eight people remained trapped in the wreckage, they said.
“Three people are dead and around 30 injured,” said a spokeswoman for the OeAMTC motor transportation club, which operates a rescue helicopter in Austria.
“There are eight more trapped in the train who need to be freed,” she said, adding that the crash was in the town of Bramberg. She said it was unclear how many people were in the train and whether the number of dead might increase.
