Bogota - A three-day siege by hundreds of left-wing rebels who blasted a small town in Colombia with home-made missiles has killed at least 17 people. The dead include nine police officers and four children, officials said.

Eight police officers were wounded and seven taken prisoner in the attack at Narino - 130km north-west of Bogota - by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia
