Stockholm - The South African Minister of Education, Dr Kader Asmal, has been awarded this year's Stockholm Water Prize, which is worth $150,000. Dr Asmal, a former chairman of the Irish Anti-Apartheid Movement, received the prize, along with a crystal glass sculpture and a diploma, from King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden in the City Hall, Stockholm, yesterday.
