Arrests linked to attempted murder

Two men have been arrested in Northern Ireland in relation to the attempted murder of a police officer in London last week.

Two men have been arrested in Northern Ireland in relation to the attempted murder of a police officer in London last week.

The pair, in their 20s, were detained in south Belfast on Wednesday. Metropolitan Police officers went to Northern Ireland to take one suspect to London for questioning. The other remains in custody in the North.

The officer at the centre of the attack was shot in the arm during a call-out in Croydon on July 15th.
