A Irishman was arrested in London yesterday in connection with the robbery last month of £40,000 in cash from a Waterford publican. The 22-year-old man is to face extradition proceedings. Gardai had been seeking the man in connection with the robbery on March 22nd from Mr Tom Maher, an 88-year-old city-centre publican, and his wife, Mary, at the O`Connell Street premises.
