Armed raid on bank in south Dublin

An armed man has escaped with an undisclosed sum of money following a raid on a bank in South Dublin.

An armed man has escaped with an undisclosed sum of money following a raid on a bank in South Dublin.

The man is said to have entered the Bank of Ireland on the main street in Dundrum shortly before 12.45 p.m armed with a sawn-off shot gun.

He is believed to have threatened a customer and a member of staff before leaving on foot with a small quantity of money.

No one was injured and there were no shots fired in the incident.
