Armed and masked men threatened a Belfast off-licence manager at gunpoint when they demanded the keys to his premises, police said today.

Two men wearing balaclavas, one armed with a gun, targeted the 21-year-old manager at his home in the Dalebrook Park area of Finaghy, west Belfast, at around 10.30pm last night.

The man's 20-year-old brother came out of the house when he heard a disturbance and was also threatened, but when the brothers refused to hand over the keys, the thieves fled empty-handed.

The armed man is described as tall and stocky, aged between 35 and 40, and was wearing a black balaclava mask, black gloves, brown jumper, white t-shirt, light brown jacket and blue jeans.

His accomplice was also wearing a balaclava, a black jacket, was of medium build and aged between 30-35 and had ginger stubble on his face.

Police have appealed for anyone who saw anything suspicious to come forward.
