The High Court has directed the operators of the National Aquatic Centre to facilitate an inspection of the leisure pool by its builders.

Construction group Rohcon wants to investigate claims that water has been leaking from cracks in the centre's swimming pools but said it was denied access a number of times.

Operating company Dublin Waterworld told the court today it was willing to allow the inspection take place tonight and that there was the legal action was not necessary.

Justice Peter Kelly said he would make an order allowing the inspection to take place.
