A date was set today for the trial of a Dublin Bus driver charged in connection with the deaths of five people at a bus stop last year.

The trial of Kenneth Henvey (46) of Whitethorn Crescent, Clondalkin, Dublin, is due to begin on April 24th, 2006, in Dublin Circuit Criminal Court and is expected to last at least three weeks.
The court heard there were over 100 witnesses involved in this case.
Mr Henvey, who was remanded on continuing bail, has been charged with dangerous driving causing the deaths of five people at Wellington Quay on February 21st, 2004.
The court heard the matter has taken a long time to come before a judge as there were some matters outstanding including the disclosure of some video tapes.
Senior counsel for the DPP, Patrick McGrath, said a letter had been received from Mr Henvey's solicitors that they may wish for a reconstruction of the incident to take place.
Judge Des Hogan said there was ample time for whatever needed to be carried out before the trial would take place next April.
The incident occurred when an out-of-service bus mounted the kerb and hit a group of people queuing for a bus to Lucan, killing five people and injuring 17.
Mr Henvey has been granted legal aid for the trial in the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
