Rabat - A four-storey apartment building collapsed in Morocco's ancient city of Fes yesterday, killing at least 11 people and injuring 37 others, emergency services said.
The block caved in at around 3 a.m. while most of its 86 inhabitants were asleep. The official MAP news agency reported the building was constructed without a legal permit.
"We fear the number of dead will rise because many are still unaccounted for as the search for survivors continues and also due to the serious cases of injuries," a health ministry official said.
