New York - The UN Secretary-General, Mr Kofi Ann an, has spelled out specific proposals for Iraqi disarmament to UN Security Council permanent members, according to Western diplomats.

Mr Annan met the ambassadors of Britain, China, France, Russia and the US, and the president of the Security Council, Mr Hans Dahlgren of Sweden, to lay out his ideas for a "comprehensive review" of relations with Iraq.
