Correction:A court report in the edition of December 22nd last, regarding an inquiry into allegations of professional misconduct by Ann O'Ceallaigh, a domiciliary midwife, said in error that the inquiry arose from 19 complaints by a client.
In fact there was only one complaint and this was not made by a client of Ms O’Ceallaigh.
The complaint originated from the Coombe Maternity Hospital and was made by its Master and its director of midwifery. The Notice of Inquiry issued by the Nursing Board contained 19 allegations.
