Algiers - Algerian Muslim militants killed about 15 people, including soldiers on leave, in the first reported attacks since the start of the holy month of Ramadan, newspapers said yesterday.
Muslim fundamentalists traditionally see Ramadan, which began a week ago, as the sacred period for their struggle. About 100 Algerians were killed during Ramadan last year.
