Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson has admitted injuring David Beckham by accidentally kicking a boot at him.
Beckham sustained a cut above his left eye as Ferguson vented his fury in the aftermath of the 2-0 FA Cup defeat by Arsenal at Old Trafford on Saturday.
"It happens every night in a dressing room. It's one of those freak acts of nature. It's over, what a freak, and it'll never happen again," Ferguson told ITN.
Beckham arrived at Manchester United's training ground this morning with a plaster covering a cut above his left eye.
The Sunreported that Beckham needed two stitches in the cut.
