PRISTINA, Yugoslavia - Fifteen ethnic Albanians went on trial here yesterday charged with killing three police officers and a Serb civilian in "terrorist" attacks in the flashpoint Serbian province of Kosovo.
The defendants, 12 of whom are being tried in absentia are also accused of attempting to murder 16 people. Prosecutors claim they ambushed Serb police officers on several occasions between 1992 and 1996 and carried out bomb attacks on army barracks and five refugee camps in Kosovo.
