Britain: Lord Butler will head committee to investigate coverage available on WMD programmes of countries of concern and on the global trade in WMD.
It will investigate the accuracy of intelligence on Iraqi WMD up to March 2003, and examine any discrepancies between intelligence gathered, evaluated and used by the British government before the conflict, and between that intelligence and what has since been discovered by the Iraq Survey Group.
It will have access to all intelligence reports and relevant government papers and be able to call witnesses.
It will report in July and work with the US inquiry and the Iraq Survey Group.
