The Taoiseach and German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder are to meet in Berlin for talks that will focus heavily on the war in Iraq.
A German government spokesman said they will also discuss European Union issues and developments in the Middle East during the meeting, which is scheduled for Thursday.
"The meeting is part of normal discussions between leaders of European Union member countries," he said.
