LONDON - Younger people fight off the HIV virus that causes AIDS more successfully than older people, doctors at the Imperial Cancer Research Fund in Oxford reported yesterday.

They reported in the Lancet that only 12 per cent of infected with HIV when were aged over 55 years, while 86 per cent under 15 did.
