EDINBURGH - The BBC's top news correspondent, Kate Adie, has been criticised by a colleague for her coverage of the Dunblane tragedy last March.

Mr Colin Cameron, head of BBC Scotland Television, said the tone of Ms Adie's coverage was inappropriate. "The forensic precision of her delivery was not appropriate to the moment," Mr Cameron said at a media session during the Edinburgh Television Festival.
