HONG KONG - Education authorities yesterday called for action to reduce the weight of school-bags as students went back to class after the twomonth summer break.
The education department said overweight school-bags were causing primary and junior school students back problems and harming their spines. The moves came as tens of thousands students returned to school for the first time under Chinese sovereignty, without history textbooks, because the contents are being amended. - (AFP)
