Three Galway women who brought nine Kosovan children to the west of Ireland for urgent medical treatment have appealed for accommodation for the children to cater for their needs over the next five weeks.
The children, aged between four and 14, have received treatment for a series of ailments ranging from blindness to chronic kidney problems. In one case, sight has been restored to a 14-year-old boy, who was completely blinded in a bomb blast in Kosovo.
They were brought to Ireland after Ms Patricia Curran, Ms Moira Kelly and Ms Margaret McDonagh received offers of free medical treatment from a number of Galway doctors. Ms Kelly may be contacted at (091) 584292.
