The number of students accessing their Leaving Cert results via the Internet is expected to rise again this year after a 70 per cent increase last year.

The State Examinations Commission will put results live on their website, www.examinations.ieand is expecting an increase on the 24,000 users that logged in 2002.

That figure was an increase of 10,000 on the scheme's maiden year in 2001.

Students will be able to access their results using their examination number and an additional Personal Identification Number (PIN) at midday on August 13th.

The option of receiving results by telephone will also be available for candidates, though the service requires the use of a touch-tone phone.
