A woman who injured her neck and back when she slipped and fell on a wet floor in her local McDonald's fast food restaurant, has been awarded £9,000 damages in the Circuit Civil Court.

Ms Patricia Doyle, of Fettercairn, Tallaght, Co Dublin, told her counsel, Mr Anthony Hunt, she had not seen any warning signs that the floor was wet.

Judge Raymond Groarke heard that, while the floor had been wet at the time, there were three feet high "yellow men" on the floor warning customers of that fact.
