750 have phoned brothers' helpline

A total of 750 people have so far phoned the helpline set up by the Christian Brothers last weekend, when they apologised to those abused by members of the order. The phoneline is run by Faoiseamh (which means relief), an independent helpline funded by the religious congregations. The freephone number is 1 800 331 234 in the Republic and 0 800 973 272 from Northern Ireland and Britain.
