A 70-year-old woman has been killed in a car crash in Co Mayo.
She died when the car she was a passenger in collided with another car at Rathduff, Balla at around 8.45 am.
The woman, named this afternoon as Julie Fitzgearld of Aisling Manor, Balla, was pronounced dead at the scene and her body was removed to Mayo general hospital where a post mortem will be carried out.
She is third person to havce died on the roads this weekend.
