Hyderabad - At least 70 people have died following cyclonic rains that have continued to batter the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh yesterday, an official spokesman said.
"At least 70 people have been killed by heavy cyclonic rains in the last 48 hours and casualty figures are expected to go up as there is no sign of a let-up in the rains," said a government spokesman, Mr Vijay Kumar.
