CHESTER - Seventy one schoolchildren had an amazing escape last night when their double decker bus ploughed into a low footbridge, shaving off most of the top deck. Fifty of the children and a man believed to be the bus driver were taken to hospital in a fleet of ambulances following the smash near Runcorn, Cheshire.
