Madras - Forty-three fishermen were missing after a cyclone struck India's southern Tamil Nadu state yesterday, according to government officials.
An official in the port town of Cuddalore said that the missing fishermen had been at sea since last Sunday.
Police said that road traffic had been paralysed, with all links to Cuddalore severed.
