Madrid - Three people were killed in an explosion at a fireworks factory in Spain yesterday, a rescue services official said, two days after a blast at a Dutch fireworks plant killed at least 20 people.
Between two and six people were believed to be injured, some of them in serious condition, in the Spanish explosion. The factory is located on the outskirts of Rafelcofer, a town in the south-eastern province of Valencia.
Meanwhile an explosion in a fireworks warehouse killed one person in Mexico yesterday and injured three others, the news agency Notimex reported. It said the explosion occurred in the town of Tepic, capital of the state of Nayarit.
