Three construction workers have been injured in an explosion in a building at University College Cork.
It is believed a boiler exploded in the basement of Brookfield House, which is currently undergoing renovation.
A number of units of the fire brigade attended the scene after the alarm was raised shortly before 2pm this afternoon.
A spokeswoman for the Health and Safety Authority confirmed the body is investigating the incident, but she could not confirm any details.
