Bogota - Right-wing paramilitary gunmen slaughtered at least 15 people yesterday in a farming region of Colombia where they are fighting Marxist rebels for territorial control, authorities said.
The local police chief in the town of Granada said he and his men were fending off gunmen who attacked the police station in a diversionary tactic when the killings occurred at midday.
