At least 13 people were killed today when a bus crashed on the main Croatian highway connecting the capital Zagreb and the Adriatic city of Split, according to the state news agency Hina.
The bus, carrying 49 people, hit a flyover pillar some 190 km south of Zagreb. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
The other passengers were badly injured in the accident.
