12 treated for nightclub gas inhalation

Twelve patrons of Rumours nightclub in O'Connell Street were being treated in the Mater Hospital early today after inhaling gas. The Dublin nightclub was evacuated shortly after 2.10 a.m and while the source of the gas was unclear, witnesses believed a patron may have released mace gas. Dublin Fire Brigade and a number of ambulances were called. A hospital spokesperson said the 12 did not appear to be seriously injured.
