Berlin - Some 100,000 people marched through Berlin yesterday to mark the 1919 killing of German communists Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht, in the largest gathering of communists since the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Up from an estimated 15,000-35,000 people last year, yesterday's event marked the biggest communist march since 1990, according to the organisers, the reformed Communist Party (PDS).
