Madrid - Ten people were killed and 38 injured when a bus full of pensioners crashed off a bridge in eastern Spain yesterday.

Madrid - Ten people were killed and 38 injured when a bus full of pensioners crashed off a bridge in eastern Spain yesterday.

The bus rolled over while trying to stop on a rain-slickened road near Villafranqueza in the province of Alicante, according to a regional government spokesman.

State radio said most of the passengers were Spanish while others were from France, Britain and Belgium. They had been staying in Benidorm.
