You can convert pretty much any bicycle to an electric bike with FlyKly’s Smart Wheel. It comes in four different sizes, from 28” downwards, and it can fit both geared and one-speed bikes (though not with disc brakes). All the hardware is hidden in the hub, where a 250W regenerative motor helps slow down, while it also recharges the battery, so extending your range. It’s claimed the Smart Wheel can last up to 100km and push you up to 25km/h (16mph). Plenty of smarts to it too, with any array of sensors which talk to the Smart Wheel app on your phone. Best not to check it while whistling along at a lick.

Garmin Virb 360

With GoPro venturing into 360 degree filming as gingerly as a novice contemplating a black slope, Garmin has committed to the moment. Its Virb 360 is a waterproof camera which shoots 360 degree video stitched up at 4K (or capture 15-megapixel stills) which makes for very decent head-spinning, see-all-round-you, spherical footage. There’s 360 degree audio too thanks to four mics, and built-in stabilisation. Moreover – literally – it can overlay GPS and other data on your footage, so while you’re throwing those 360s, at least you can find where north briefly was.

Your own glass-bottomed boat here, with Driftsun’s Transparent Kayak. The hull is clear polycarbonate and the fittings marine-rated corrosion-resistant.
