Last month, Ireland's Catholic bishops stated that from Easter Sunday, attendance at weekend Mass "will once again be deemed an essential expression of faith". But will many people find themselves in a church, Catholic or otherwise, in Ireland this weekend? After decades of falling attendances at Mass, Covid-19 saw churches close their doors altogether and then allow only limited capacity.
