LIMERICK ARTISAN CRAFT FAIR

A large all-weather market will be held in Limerick’s Milk Market area tomorrow between noon and 7pm, hosting a variety of fine arts, vintage clothing, traditional crafts and foods. Demonstrations of woodturning and pottery, as well as face painting and storytellers, will keep the children entertained. Admission is free. artisanscraftfair.com

A variety of community groups, organised by the Northside Partnership Support Zone, will come together for an open day tomorrow. It will focus on issues, from counselling services to healthy eating and budgeting advice, in an effort to help people improve their quality of life. The event is open to all, and runs from 11am to 4pm at the Northside Civic Centre in Coolock. northsidepartnership.ie

BREWERY TOUR

To celebrate 300 years of brewing in Kilkenny, Smithwicks takes visitors on a walking tour of Ireland’s oldest operating brewery. The tour includes a visit to the brewhouse and a 13th-century cathedral on the grounds. Admission is €10, which includes a complimentary drink. Visitors must be over 18 and the tour runs from Tuesday to Saturday, at 12.30, 13.00, 15.00 and 15.30. smithwicks.ie

DONEGAL MUSEUM

The museum is formerly the warden’s house of the Letterkenny Workhouse, which is brought to life every Thursday as part of a free living history tour looking at how the facility ran in the 19th and 20th centuries. The tours run at 11am, 1pm and 3pm. Tel: 074-9124613

ABBEY TALK

Tomorrow evening, to coincide with the current production of The Plough and the Stars, Shivaun O'Casey, daughter of playwright Seán, will give a public talk on her father's work. It begins at 6pm in the Abbey bar, and admission is €3. See abbeytheatre.ie
