Throughout her teens, British actor Helena Grace Donald kept her battle with bulimia a secret.

“As women, we feel like we have to have it all together and I thought that if I admitted was struggling, then I was somehow failing,” she says on the latest episode of The Women’s Podcast.

Since overcoming the disorder, Donald has written a book aimed at promoting body positivity in young girls, Learning to Love the Girl in the Mirror, and she also founded www.girlunfiltered.com/, an online support forum for teenagers struggling with body-related issues.
