The Women’s Podcast: A strange and depressing night at the Dorchester

Alison O’Connor and Tara Flynn take a scalpel to some of the week’s stories with Kathy Sheridan

The British charity The President's Club is to close after an exposé in the Financial Times, detailing the harassment of hostesses at an event it held at the Dorchester hotel in London.

A journalist working undercover at the black-tie men-only gala last Thursday reported that hostesses, who were instructed to wear skimpy black outfits, were subjected to sexism, groped and degraded at the event.

On the latest episode of the Women’s Podcast, Kathy Sheridan is joined by Irish Examiner columnist Alison O’Connor and comedian Tara Flynn to give their views on what happened at the Dorchester.

Also on the podcast, the panel talk about comments by influential feminist Germaine Greer this week, who has criticised the "whingeing" #MeToo movement, RTÉ appointment of a slew of new female presenters and the trouble with tone in the abortion campaign.
