The office lunch-run can be a delicate business.
To satisfy bellies that have no time for a break, you need something tasty, fast and good value – woe betide the fool that returns an hour later with soggy €8 panini. Step forward Rigby’s Deli, which is taking the pain out of city lunches at its new premises on Dublin’s Dame St. On a recent visit we snapped up a hot salt beef bap with piccalilli, mayo and leaves; chicken and bacon on sourdough with tarragon mayo and salad (both €5); there was a fluffy Spanish tortilla, stuffed with potato, peppers and red onion (€6.50) and some great sides, such as warm new potato salad or roast vegetables (all €3). They’re also open for brekkie and are continuing the original Leeson Street Rigby’s tradition of no-menu two-course dinners, from €21.
