Recyclyed in style

Junk Kouture brings us back to the days when we used to stockpile toilet roll holders for various dodgy Blue Peter projects

Junk Kouture brings us back to the days when we used to stockpile toilet roll holders for various dodgy Blue Peter projects. Now in its third year, the initiative has seen thousands of recycled fashion creations being made by secondary- school students – the dress shown here is made entirely from computer parts.

Created in 2010 by entrepreneurs Elizabeth O'Donnell and Troy Armour, the competition is all about recycling and reusing materials to create innovative fashion. This year judges include model Faye Dinsmore and TV presenter Darren Kennedy. Entries are open to all secondary- school students and close on the January 31st. junkkouture.com
