When Claire Trinder (above) was growing up in Belfast, she was always dreaming about fashion. "All I ever wanted to do was to get into the beautiful power suits and high heels that I saw around me at the time," she says. Instead, she became a successful corporate lawyer and it was only when she got married two years ago and had to find a dress to suit her style that the dream of uniting her love of fashion with a business scheme finally took root. Her website, bridalbible.ie, which she calls "Ireland's first wedding gown gospel", was launched on Valentine's Day, its mission "to inform brides of the who, what and where of gown designers and retailers in Ireland".

It’s a well designed, easily navigated site that offers a gown search by designer, style, boutique and price. There’s also a comprehensive Style Icon A-Z section showing celebrities in their wedding gear, a bride of the month competition and a style guide. So where did she eventually find her dress?
