Routes to avoid during the week ahead
DUBLIN: Works on East Wall Rd between junctions of North Wall Quay and Upper Sheriff St. Traffic one lane in each direction. Note access to The Point Car Park re-routed: follow electronic traffic signals for diversion route. All attending Mamma Mia at the Point should allow extra time. Traffic particularly heavy Monday to Saturday, 6.30 p.m. and 8 p.m., and again between 10.30 p.m. and 11.30 p.m. Congestion also likely on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons between 1 p.m. and 2.30 p.m. and 5 and 6 p.m.
Roadworks overnight on Naas Road inbound from Newlands Cross to The Red Cow Roundabout.
Lane restrictions on Newtownpark Avenue from Granville Rd to N11, for construction of bus lane, cycle track and improved pedestrian facilities.
Kilmacud Rd Upper closed between Stoney Rd and Dundrum Main St to complete new Taney high voltage station.
Gas works on Monkstown Rd, one-way system in place. Traffic towards Monkstown diverted via Stradbrook Rd, Monkstown Ave and Carrickbrennan Rd. Citybound traffic unaffected. Bus services affected will operate on Seapoint Avenue.
Western access to Old Naas Rd from Naas Rd (N7) closed for construction of initial works for tie-in of Outer Ring Road to Old Naas Road (part of). Alternative routes via Naas Road Eastbound (towards Dublin)(N7), Boot Road (East access), Old Naas Road Westbound.
WICKLOW: Resurfacing on N11 Newtown Mountkennedy Bypass. Traffic one lane both ways from Newtown to Kilpedder. Get into lane well before the works to avoid delays.
KILDARE: Works on N9 in Castledermot, stop/go system 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., temporary lights from 6 p.m. Expect delays - archaeological pre-dig before drainage works.
KILKENNY: New traffic layout at N10 Kilkenny Ring Rd - no right turn from Outrath road, towards Bennetsbridge roundabout. No right turn from Kilkenny Ring road to Outrath Rd. Use new roundabout on Waterford Rd.
Roadworks on N9 in Mullinavat. Traffic lights 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Saturday. Delays expected.
GALWAY: Resurfacing on N18 between Kilcolgan and Ardrahan. Traffic lights, delays expected.
LIMERICK: Road between Main St in Croom and Honeypound Cross closed for construction of a foul sewer and surface water sewer. Diversions signposted.
TIPPERARY: Works on R445 Limerick Rd from Nenagh between Careys Glass and Springfort Cross Junction. Traffic one lane, temporary traffic lights, use alternative routes into and out of Nenagh town.
Road strengthening works on N8 at Coolagarranroe, six km north of Mitchelstown. Delays expected, traffic one lane - temporary traffic lights.
KERRY: Major works on Conor Pass Road from Kilmore Cross towards Conor Hill viewing park. Delays expected. Use N86 between Dingle and Camp via Annascaul.
CORK: Works on N8 from Glanmire to Dunkettle Roundabout.
Road into and through Camden car park in Crosshaven closed. Local diversions.
