Routes to avoid around the country in the week ahead:
DUBLIN:
Jervis Lane Lower is closed for roadworks from its junction with Mary St. Traffic for Jervis Lane Lower will be diverted via Capel Street, Ormonde Quay, Swifts Row and Abbey St Upper. There are diversions on Davitt Road for LUAS works and traffic is one-way out of town. There is also a new traffic management system at Suir Road junction to facilitate road crossings.
Delays are likely with roadworks on between Clonee and Lucan from 8 a.m. to approx 5 p.m. daily, including weekends.
There are resurfacing works on Dodder Park Rd in the Rathfarnham area at Woodside Estate Junction in place daily between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Diversion on the M1 in Dublin on Balbriggan Bypass at Walshstown exit to complete the motorway. Southbound traffic diverts from southbound overtaking lane 500 m north of Walshtown Interchange. North traffic should follow the diversion to rejoin the Ballbriggan Bypass, 150 m north of Walshstown Overbridge.
WICKLOW/KILDARE:
On the M9 in Co Kildare, some care is needed as the lighting is not working to its full capacity in the tunnel on the northbound lane of the Kilcullen Link Road following an accident. Motorists need to turn on their lights on approach even though there is some emergency lighting in the tunnel.
There are a couple of restrictions around the Bray, Greystones area of Co Wicklow. Roadworks and a stop-and-go system will continue to operate at Windgates.
The Killarney Road at the roundabout at Hill's Garage in Bray has been restricted to one lane of traffic. Two lanes are now open from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m. each day until Friday, December 6th. At all other, off-peak times, there will be temporary lights in place and one lane restrictions as well.
Roadworks are in place in Co Wicklow between Baltinglass and Castledermot: the road is closed between Graney Bridge and Castledermot, and there is a diversion in place via Knocknacree Cross. Expect some delays, this road links onto the N9 at Castledermot.
LIMERICK:
Two traffic lanes are now open on the Dublin Rd, N7, between Groody Bridge and Plassey Road. The N18 slip road for southbound traffic to Shannon is closed: traffic is diverted south onto the N18 for about two kilometres to the Bunratty flyover to return northbound into Shannon.
LEITRIM:
Roadworks between Carrick-on- Shannon and Bundoran, two miles north of Manorhamilton. Delays until about December 18th
WATERFORD:
Lismore Pk in Waterford city closed from Tir Connell Avenue to Paddy Browne Road until about December 4th.
WEXFORD:
King Street Lower to close on November 25th to Wednesday, November 27th, for telecom work. Eastbound traffic diverts onto Barrack Street, Parnell Street, Trinity Street and Paul Quay. Westbound traffic diverts onto Paul Quay, Trinity Street, Parnell Street, Lambert Place and King Street Upper.
